Comprehensive Survey of Symmetric and Public-Key Cryptographic Algorithms: Foundations, Attacks, and Applications
ABSTRACT
This survey provides a comprehensive examination of modern cryptographic algorithms, spanning both symmetric-key and public-key paradigms. It delves into the structural design, mathematical foundations, operational principles, and known cryptanalytic vulnerabilities of widely adopted algorithms such as AES, ChaCha20, RSA, and Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC). The report highlights the trade-offs between computational efficiency and security strength across different use cases and deployment environments. Additionally, it analyzes modern modes of operation (e.g., GCM, Poly1305), digital signature schemes (e.g., ECDSA, EdDSA), and secure key exchange protocols. Emphasis is placed on emerging trends, including post-quantum cryptographic schemes like Kyber and Dilithium, which aim to ensure resilience against quantum adversaries. Real-world applications in secure messaging, VPNs, blockchain, and IoT are examined to demonstrate how cryptographic choices are influenced by domain-specific constraints such as latency, energy efficiency, and trust models. This survey aims to serve as a foundational reference for researchers and practitioners seeking to understand the evolving landscape of algorithmic cryptography and its practical implications.

Truth vs. Fabrication: Exploring AI’s Role in the Detection of Deepfakes
ABSTRACT
This paper provides a review of the various methods used for deepfake generation including methods such as face swapping, attribute manipulation, face reenactment, lip-syncing, and audio cloning. Then, we discuss ways to detect deepfakes using AI, including different types and frameworks such as a feature-based, deep-learning based, and hybrid methods and comparing the strengths, weaknesses and applicable performance in real-world examples. We will provide further discussion on the emergent multimodal methods, which focus on detecting both audio and visual or metadata aspects of deepfake content, as well as our ethical, societal, and regulatory considerations, and discuss the emergence of tools used in the research community

Personality Traits: An Overview
ABSTRACT
Personality traits are enduring patterns of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that distinguish individuals and contribute to their psychological uniqueness. The Five-Factor Model (FFM)—comprising Neuroticism, Extraversion, Openness to Experience, Agreeableness, and Conscientiousness—has emerged as a dominant framework in personality psychology. This thematic paper explores key themes in personality trait research, including the biological underpinnings of traits, their developmental stability and change, cultural variations, and implications for mental health, education, and interpersonal relationships. By examining these dimensions, the paper underscores the multidimensional and dynamic nature of personality and highlights the theoretical and practical significance of trait-based approaches in understanding human behavior.

YOGIC PRACTICES FOR MENTAL HEALTH
ABSTRACT
Yogic practices, rooted in ancient Indian traditions, have emerged as effective complementary approaches for enhancing mental well-being. Combining physical postures (asanas), breath control (pranayama), meditation (dhyana), and ethical living (yamas and niyamas), yoga offers a holistic intervention for managing a wide range of mental health challenges. In recent decades, empirical studies have validated the therapeutic benefits of yoga for conditions such as anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and stress-related disorders. This paper presents an integrated overview of the role of yoga in mental health, discusses its physiological and psychological mechanisms of action, and explores its practical applications in clinical and community settings. Further, the paper highlights cultural considerations, implementation challenges, and directions for future research.

THE ROLE OF LIFE SKILLS EDUCATION IN ENHANCING SELF-EFFICACY AMONG WOMEN PROSPECTIVE TEACHERS
ABSTRACT
This study examines the effect of a systematic life skills education program—communication strategies—on building self-efficacy among women prospective teachers. Based on Bandura's Social Cognitive Theory, the study utilized a single-group pre-test and post-test design with 100 female student-teachers from Alagappa University College of Education, Sivagangai District. The intervention comprised eight sessions in four weeks on verbal and non-verbal communication, assertiveness, public speaking, and active listening. The General Self-Efficacy Scale was used to assess data. The results showed a significant increase in the self-efficacy scores following the intervention (t = 15.78, p < 0.001), supporting the empowering effect of communication-based life skills education among female teacher trainees. The research concludes that the incorporation of life skills training into teacher training programs is critical towards enhancing professional confidence, particularly for women in rural and semi-urban settings.
